NEMOSMOOVE told us already in his song “2 Cups”. “ I been rapping for hours and hours , treat this s*** like a new superpower”. The metaphor was used to set a tone for his adaptability in the music genre, making it difficult to put Nemo in a box with influences coming from Kanye West, Andre 3000, Big Boi, Nas, Young Dro, and Young Thug artists who pushed the envelope in their own way in hip hop, with some becoming their own genre or “radio station” which has always been a goal for him. Emphasizing being a genre, Smoove can motivate you to stay down and grind so you can achieve what you want, be vulnerable and speak on his trials and tribulations in relationships over melodies and 808’s that you can sing along to like the song “Broken Hearted Ballad” , and make music for the ladies to enjoy themselves on the dance floor like his song “Wind yuh hips”. At the moment when you see “NEMOSMOOVE” you think of a rapper. But as the catalog grows, you will look at Smoove more as an artist.

Born Nehemiah Johnson in Atlanta Georgia in 1998, Smoove would always try to mimic Andre 3000 and Big Boi on the television when he was a child. Music was always a part of his life, he would mature in Dekalb county playing sports ,music was the soundtrack while he was pursuing his first love of soccer until he was injured in 2020 after graduating college. Eventually entering the workforce, Smoove immediately felt out of place, but understood that from this moment forward he would use his gifts to make a better situation. Utilizing his business sense along with honing his raw ability with fusing rap and r&b with a twist, Smoove is working to build momentum to become mainstay in the music scene with a refreshing sound and a unique story which you can embark on as you witness a coming of age story of an artist who has tried and experienced many things to stand out, yet when all else failed it was his gift in music that made it all possible.
